Learn Traditional Thai Massage in Bridgewater, NS!

Traditional Thai Massage is practice from the heart through two hands. It is done fully clothed on a mat on the floor and integrates dynamic yoga like stretching, muscle compression, energy-line work and encourages the practitioner to cultivate a meditative mind. This dynamic dance like flow is energizing, and deeply touching to receive. Also known as 'Nuad Boran' or ancient massage, Traditional Thai massage is an important branch of Traditional Thai Medicine. It recognizes energy lines called Sen ( similar to Chinese Meridians or Ayurvedic Nadis) and seeks to release blockages to help receivers feel greater harmony on all levels - mind, body and spirit.

About Level 1

In this 3 day course be introduced to the practice of Traditional Thai Massage as it has been taught by well respected lineage of masters in Thailand. Learn a 60 min thai massage flow that includes Thai stretches and compressions in supine, prone, seated and single leg stretches. Incorporate traditional practices such as the Waikru and discover the role that meditation, yoga and Traditional Thai Medicine play in this healing art.

About your Instructor

Tara spent several years travelling from her home on Hornby Island, BC to Chiang Mai ,Thailand where she learned from various schools and masters. She has been teaching Thai Massage for the past eight years and practicing for 15, she is recognized by Thai Healing Alliance as an instructor and with an advanced standing. She is also a 500 hour Kripalu Yoga Instructor and Ayurvedic Practitioner. She enjoys bridging the wisdom teachings of the east to the west and integrates her depth of knowledge in the Vedic Sciences and Thai Massage into her trainings. She is newly relocated to Mahone Bay, NS where she lives with her family and has a small Thai Massage and Ayurveda practice.
